We are seeking a versatile and proactive Senior Technology Solutions Engineer to join our Technology & Innovation team. This pivotal role involves identifying business challenges, then designing, developing, and implementing innovative technology solutions across our operations, leveraging largely the full Microsoft ecosystem with particular focus on the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Synapse. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution delivery, taking ownership from conception through to deployment and ongoing support, and empowering our business through strategic technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Development:
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and maintainable solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) to meet diverse business needs across the organization.
• Develop custom applications and integrations, including Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps, intricate workflow automation, and robust reporting mechanisms.
• Extend Power Platform functionality through custom connectors, PCF controls, and advanced scripting using Power Fx, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop custom solutions and APIs using .NET Core (C#), including small-scale applications like WPF for specialized business functions.
• Architect and implement complementary Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Web Apps, and App Service Plans to extend and enhance solutions, including Microsoft Teams bot development.
• Data Integration & Architecture:
• Design, develop, and manage robust enterprise data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing, reporting, and large-scale data ingestion.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and other integrations, ensuring data integrity and seamless connectivity between systems.
• Work with SQL Server for database development, optimization, and managing data sources for Power Apps and Power BI dashboards.
• Collaboration & Guidance:
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution roadmaps, and provide expert technical guidance.
• Provide technical leadership, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• DevOps & Quality Assurance:
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub for automated deployments and robust solution lifecycle management.
• Ensure all developed solutions adhere to best practices in governance, security, and performance.
• Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and comprehensive documentation for developed solutions.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant role preferably in the resources sector or construction environment

o   Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction or Technology

• Significant hands-on experience with core Azure services, including Azure Synapse, for solution architecture and integration (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, App Services).
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control management (Azure DevOps, Git).
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365, PCF development, and SharePoint development/administration is highly desirable.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., React) and UI components is a plus.
• Exposure to SSIS packages for on-premises data integration is beneficial.
• Experience with InEight project controls suite (integrations, systems setup) is desirable.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders across all levels.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable mindset, comfortable navigating evolving business requirements and technologies.
• Ability to work both independently on challenging projects and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
