Description & Requirements

The Monadelphous Heavy Lift team are looking for a Fleet Controller responsible for planning and scheduling labour, cranes, transport, and specialised equipment across project, shutdown, and maintenance works. You will lead the mobilisation and coordination of personnel and assets for major shutdowns and critical activities, working closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure resources are delivered in line with priorities and timeframes. 

Operating in a fast-paced environment, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently through strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail. This role would suit a Supervisor or Superintendent with site or depot experience who is looking to transition into a Perth-based, Monday to Friday position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule bookings for labour, cranes, transport, and specialised equipment across project, shutdown, and maintenance works.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of personnel and equipment for major shutdowns and critical maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, maintain, and update project and maintenance plans.
  • Provide advice, direction, and support to mobilisation teams across maintenance, shutdown, and project work scopes.
  • Coordinate, plan, schedule, and forecast works with a focus on priorities, sequencing, and delivery timeframes.
  • Ensure labour and equipment requirements are met within agreed timeframes.
  • Liaise with the maintenance department to coordinate weekly repairs, servicing, and breakdown planning.
  • Coordinate complex breakdowns and critical-path project planning, identifying alternate solutions in high-pressure situations.
  • Liaise with clients and third-party suppliers to ensure personnel and equipment requirements are met across multiple projects.
  • Produce labour and equipment forecasts to identify peak demand and support tendering, budgeting, and asset planning.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal recruitment teams for blue-collar roles.
  • Work with internal teams to improve and develop systems, processes, and planning procedures.
  • Maintain internal planning policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with client requirements relating to fatigue management, compliance, and fitness for work.
