Our Engineering Construction division provides large-scale multidisciplinary project management and construction services to leading resources companies.

The role of Business Unit Commercial Manager will see you working the head office in Victoria Park and responsible for delivery of commercial support to a Business Unit within our Engineering and Construction Division. You will work closely with the General Managers, Project Managers, and Project Controls supporting the delivery of multiple construction projects within the resources sector.

What you will bring

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in finance, quantity surveying, project controls, or a related field
  • Solid experience in project controls, cost control, contract management, project reporting, management accounting and analysis
  • Experience working with leading companies delivering Engineering and Construction projects
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Superior MS Excel are essential
  • Team management skills to mentor project accountants working across multiple projects
  • Ability to build effective business relationships, teamed with solid influencing skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with General Managers and Project Managers on project performance
  • Coordinating teams to deliver monthly project reporting for your portfolio including budget build ups, claims, revenue and cost forecasting, productivity analysis, performance reporting
  • Working with General Manager to prepare the Business Unit’s annual budgets, monthly reporting, monthly forecasting, and cashflows
  • Assisting with Joint Venture administration
