Description & Requirements

Monadelphous are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to join our PNG Operations team for a 3-month contract commencing February 2026, based on site in Papua New Guinea on a FIFO 4:2 roster.

We will be removing one of the world's largest piping suspension bridges, offering a once-in-a-career opportunity. As part of the project, you will collaborate with a world-class team during the deconstructability of the suspension bridge. Join us for this exciting challenge!

Reporting to the Site Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed safely, on schedule and to client specifications. You will be managing, implementing and monitoring quality systems, supervising, training and qualifying welding personnel and supervising/conducting inspections of welding activities.

What you will bring:
  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • AS1796 Cert 10 Welding Supervisor
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience working in oil and gas or mining sectors
  • Experience working in PNG or other expat experience (highly regarded)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a national workforce in the field
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrable experience achieving tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment
  • Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
