An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Draftsperson/Designer to join our NSW Operations Team on a permanent basis.

The role will see you working Monday to Friday from the Mt Thorley office supporting the operations team.

Your well-developed interpersonal skills will assist you in building effective relationships both internally and externally. You will be flexible with a team orientated approach to work and a commitment to process development and continuous improvement. Your time management skills will promote your ability to manage multiple aspects of your work concurrently

Key responsibilities include.

Completing drafting and technical drawings
Converting 3D laser scan to fabrication drawings
Preparation and delivery of engineering drawings for allocated resources projects
Preparation of shop layouts
Attending site for measurements, verification and scoping, including use of our 3D laser scanning equipment
Creating concept drawings
Completing material take-offs and preparing cutting lists
Reviewing standards and best practices

What you will bring

Relevant tertiary qualification such as an associate degree or Diploma
Experience working in a similar position, servicing maintenance/brownfields upgrade projects for the mining sector.
Experience with workshop manufacturing of structural and mechanical steel work, along with site assembly.
Working knowledge of Autodesk software applications, specifically Inventor, Recap and Vault.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and draft engineering drawings in CAD to AS1100
Strong ability to manage time to achieve tight deadlines.
Well-developed communication skills
Proven ability in continuous improvement and successful delivery methods
