Our Engineering Construction division is currently seeking an experienced E&I Security and Communications Project Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of a major power station construction project in Queensland.

This role will focus on the delivery of electrical, security and communications systems across a large-scale project environment, supporting both infrastructure and operational facilities. The position will initially be based in our Brisbane office before transitioning to site on a 2:1 roster.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing division delivering complex, high value works across the resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of site-wide security and communications systems including CCTV, access control, fibre networks, structured cabling and control system interfaces as a fully integrated turnkey package
• Manage the detailed design and technical review of CCTV, access control, fibre optic, structured cabling and communications network systems
• Manage all interfaces between security, communications, ICMS, electrical, fire and building systems to ensure seamless integration
• Lead procurement activities including vendor evaluations, technical clarifications and supplier performance management
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors and project teams to ensure successful execution of project deliverables
• Oversee installation of all security and communications infrastructure including cabling, devices, panels and network equipment
• Lead system commissioning, integration testing and verification of operational performance across all security and communications systems
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards and client requirements
• Review and manage technical documentation, drawings and engineering deliverables
• Ensure delivery of complete documentation packages including as-built drawings, configuration data and O&M manuals
• Support planning, scheduling and cost control activities across the package scope
• Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in E&I Project Engineering roles within mining, infrastructure or industrial projects
• Strong background in security and communications systems delivery
• Experience with industrial electrical and communications infrastructure
• Familiarity with construction planning, work packs, scheduling and commissioning activities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within a project delivery environment
• Commercial awareness including procurement and change management exposure
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and electrical regulations
• Valid right to work in Australia
