Monadelphous has a brand new opportunity coming up in March within Mining and Minerals North West. Our Coastal and West Pilbara Operations have secured our first Jack Up Barge and are seeking an experienced Senior Barge Master to assist in the mobilisation and launch process, and beyond. We are looking for proven expertise in Marine Operations, along with sound leadership skills to support safe and efficient operations as we initiate our new asset. This role will initially be servicing our major Marine Structural Integrity project with Rio Tinto, with the intention to open up more opportunities with other clients as we progress. The senior barge master role is a key leadership position that will shape our success once we begin operations. This is a Permanent, Full Time opportunity on an 8:6 roster.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily Jack Up Barge operations, providing support to a range of disciplines
• Assist in the operational readiness procedure development and launch process
• Provide mentorship and support to our operations team and clients
• Ensure alignment with performance and safety targets
• Maintain compliance and best industry practices by refining procedures

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience operating on a Jack Up Barge and/or other marine equipment is essential
• Sound understanding of Maritime codes and compliance
• Proven leadership skills. Prior experience in launching operations is highly desirable
• Strong focus on safety and risk mitigation
• Ability to drive change and manage a new team
