Description & Requirements

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Planner to step into a pivotal Execution Readiness Planner – Mechanical role supporting one of Australia’s leading offshore LNG assets.

If you’re mechanically strong, confident working across isolation boundaries, flange systems, rotating/static equipment—and enjoy preparing work so it can be executed safely and efficiently—this is an excellent opportunity to elevate your planning career while staying close to the tools.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our client’s planning, maintenance and execution teams to ensure all mechanical work is fully ready for execution before it reaches the offshore environment. You’ll play a key part in permit readiness, isolation verification, risk identification, and multi-discipline coordination.

Why Monadelphous?

  • Perth CBD office with a high-performing integrated team
  • Quarterly offshore travel for verification and site engagement
  • Paid offshore training and ongoing development
  • Work with a tier-one operator on a world-class energy project
Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between maintenance planning and execution to gather required information and prepare permits, permit templates and work instructions.
  • Complete execution readiness checks for work orders entering short-term planning.
  • Identify and communicate risks to permit readiness, isolation requirements, material availability or work sequencing.
  • Collaborate across Mechanical, Instrument/Electrical and Coatings teams to support coordinated, multi-discipline scopes.
  • Identify permit template opportunities for PM and repeatable CM tasks.
  • Conduct permit and isolation walkdowns to confirm accuracy.
  • Undertake regular offshore travel to verify work fronts and build strong relationships with the execution team.
What You’ll Bring

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate.
  • Experience on Prelude, or within onshore LNG / refinery environments (highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of isolation boundaries, flange systems, mechanical components and associated work processes.
  • Exposure to static and rotating equipment (vessels, generators, boilers, off-take equipment).
  • Confidence working within permit-driven environments: hazard identification, control application, and permit history review.
  • Experience using CMMS systems—SAP preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
  • Willingness to travel offshore as required.
  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights.
