Description & Requirements

We are currently seeking a Rail Superintendent with Track Maintenance and or Rolling Stock Maintenance experience to join our NSW team.

The role of Rail Superintendent will see you working Monday to Friday across multiple sites in the Hunter Valley & Newcastle, on a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities of the role include: 
  • Planning and scheduling the scope of work, personnel, resources and equipment whilst ensuring works remain in line with the project budget.
  • Identify and manage risk and changes in project requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work closely with the project teams to deliver a culture of excellence in HSSE, quality, productivity and performance.
  • Be the point of contact for project staff and client representatives for queries relating to technical or progress issues.
  • Lead safety culture, initiatives, and performance throughout.
  • Ensure project compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
 
What you will bring
  • Extensive experience in a Superintendent role, managing and coordinating a multi-disciplinary team and supervision onsite.
  • Cert III in Rail Infrastructure qualifications including Track Certifier and Inspection competencies (A & D elective groups).
  • Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience in Rail & Track Maintenance.
  • Rolling Stock & Track Maintenance operations experience highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and demonstrable experience managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
