Zenviron have a permanent position available for a highly motivated Design Lead to join the engineering team based in the Newcastle Office. Reporting to the Delivery Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering designs for large scale Wind Farms and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate, review, prepare and deliver engineering designs/documentation for renewable energy projects with particular focus on
- Leading the project design process and related engineering requirements
- Maintaining all related records as applied to each project
- Control and co-ordination of project design integration activities
- Conducting project design and risk reviews
- Reporting of design progress to relevant Stakeholders
- Provision of engineering assistance to the project
- Ensuring designs/documentation meet the relevant standards AS/IEC
- Co-ordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as necessary in support of engineering and procurement activities
- Providing engineering support to project electrical works including engineering investigations, site inspections, solving problems and making recommendations
- Acting as the primary technical contact for the Client and external stakeholders
What we are looking for:
- Australian recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (or be eligible to obtain on commencement)
- Proven design and construction experience on major electrical infrastructure projects or utility scale HV substation projects
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, with demonstrable experience building internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Proof of right to work in Australia
