Monadelphous has been operating in New South Wales since 2000 and is well-established as a local business.  Our NSW regional operations provide a full range of services including comprehensive on and offsite fabrication and mechanical services. 

We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic Supervisor with Heavy Diesel Mechanic experience to join our NSW Operations Team on a permanent basis. 

This role will see you working across various Dragline & Shovel sites in the Hunter Valley Region.  You will be responsible for the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic repairs / maintenance and carrying out a wide range of tasks across from planning, coordinating  and supervising daily activities of work crews to ensuring project compliance are met.

Responsibilities include:
  • Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel and petrol/gas-powered vehicles.
  • Detect mechanical and electrical faults. 
  • Repair and maintain the hydraulic components of diesel and petrol/gas engines. 
  • Use oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding, hand fitting or machining processes to replace or repair faulty parts.

What you will bring
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the resource industry, preferably within a mining construction environment
  • Heavy Diesel Mechanic experience highly desirable
  • Must have good experience and understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Strong Mechanical, fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Australian Trade Qualified – Engineering Tradesperson - Mechanic
  • Proficiency with the use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in delivering safe and reliable construction service solutions and committed to the safety, wellbeing, and development of employees.
  • Open Drivers Licence
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
