Description & Requirements

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Mechanical Supervisors to support a major Turnaround on Curtis Island, Gladstone, commencing May 2026.

This is a key leadership role where you will oversee mechanical shutdown activities, lead a multidisciplinary team, and ensure safe, efficient execution throughout the Turnaround.

Key responsibilities will include:

Lead and supervise mechanical trades, apprentices, and trade assistants.
Oversee mechanical maintenance, repairs, and shutdown work scopes.
Allocate and coordinate daily work tasks during shutdown execution.
Collaborate closely with client representatives to plan work, report progress, and resolve issues.
Provide hands-on, safety focused leadership across all work fronts.

What you will bring:

Minimum 4 years’ supervisory experience in the Oil & Gas sector (highly desirable).
Australian Mechanical trade qualification.
Proven experience supervising mechanical teams in shutdown or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and shutdown processes.
Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and manage resources effectively.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver under tight shutdown deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
