Monadelphous Mining & Minerals Southern Region is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled crew at Worsley Alumina Refinery. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance activities on fixed plant, with a strong focus on safety, planning, and execution of high-risk mechanical works.

You will play a critical role in coordinating and delivering maintenance and shutdown scopes, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor a team of mechanical trades personnel and subcontractors
• Plan and execute maintenance activities across refinery fixed plant equipment
• Coordinate and deliver shutdown scopes, including major mechanical changeouts
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards, permits, and procedures
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and risk assessments (JHAs/JSEAs)
• Monitor progress against schedules and manage resources to meet deadlines
• Liaise with client representatives to ensure clear communication and alignment
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation

About You

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within heavy industry (refinery, mining, or processing plant)
• Strong background in mechanical fitting and maintenance of fixed plant equipment
• Demonstrated experience delivering shutdowns and high-risk maintenance scopes
• Solid understanding of safety systems, permits, and risk management processes
• Strong leadership and team management capability
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment
• Prior experience working at Worsley Alumina is advantageous but not compulsory

Qualifications & Requirements

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent)
• Current Driver’s License
• High Risk Work License (desirable)
• Working at Heights, Confined Space (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
