Description & Requirements

Monadelphous are seeking an experienced Planner to join our Brisbane Operations team on a permanent basis. This role will see you working Monday to Friday in our Brisbane Head Office, and periodically (as per project requirements) you will be required to travel to site.

 

This high paced position will be responsible for planning a program of construction projects, whilst overseeing a small team based on site and in the Brisbane office.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Hands-on planning preparation, in conjunction with Project Team, optimise working program to meet project objectives covering design, procurement, enabling, construction, commissioning, handover, and client key dates as appropriate.
  • Capture and analyse project information (e.g. critical path, resource histograms, cost forecasting).
  • Present information for internal meetings on the project
  • Produce tender plans to support bids
  • Analysing qualitative or quantitative data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for action regarding planning/scheduling
  • Assist the Project Manager in compiling major project plans and execution schedules on behalf of the Project
  • Plans and/or schedules other individuals or resources to meet project requirements
  • Establishing client relationships, making group presentations and communicating effectively with site personnel
  • Coordinating and developing detailed construction schedules and project plans
  • Review planning and scheduling documentation to identify ambiguities, risks and key issues to be considered by the project execution team

 

What you will bring

  • Experience in the Mining Industry (highly regarded)
  • Proven experience with resources related multi-discipline scopes and tendering 
  • Previous experience using Primavera (P6) project planning tool
  • Construction project experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
  • You acquire a methodical approach, high attention to detail and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to contribute and influence continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing delivery methods for your project partners
  • Proof of right to work in Australia and a current passport
