We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to take charge of the sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of materials and equipment. Part of your role will see you sourcing and arranging transportation for incoming goods and the delivery of good to various sites, while management the store and transport team.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing leadership and support to team members in the event of “road bumps” as encountered with procurement and deliverables.
Developing and maintaining quality, on-going working relationships with clients.
Overseeing submissions of tenders; Tender Review Meetings.
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
Developing and implementing short and long term plans to ensure that the workshop has the necessary resources to meet business objectives.
Providing budget justification for capital expenditure.
Assisting in the development of and adherence to all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency.
Scheduling and coordinating all aspects of production operations, to ensure that output and quality and delivery targets are achieved and that all relevant health and safety standards are observed.
Monitoring team staff members performance, including performance reviews, minimum quarterly.
Manage Logistic Department productivity, efficiency and profitability

What you’ll bring:

Tertiary qualifications or trade related area highly desirable
Considerable experience managing/supervising all aspects of the logistics and plant & equipment function and the expediting of goods and services
Experience in a maintenance industrial environment or engineering and construction industry highly desirable.
Sound knowledge of financial accounting processes, including budgeting, financial analysis and reporting.
Advanced ability to negotiate and manage contracts and service agreements with external service providers & suppliers
Intermediate ability to use MS Word & Excel.
